Tips For Chosing The Perfect Baby Shower Invitations
|
|
I had always thought that baby shower invitations were just a formality. Everyone is always excited to see a new born baby, after all, so who would get worried about baby shower invitation wording. As it turns out, I would. I hate to admit it, but I was stuck. I literally could not figure out a way to word the baby shower invitations. Nothing seemed right.
I think part of it was the fact that I was stressed out and exhausted. After coming up with baby shower party ideas, buying party supplies, arranging for a caterer, and taking care of a new born baby, I was exhausted. Normally, I pride myself on doing everything by hand. I have been known for my party invitation cards, my holiday cards, and my birthday greeting cards. You get the idea. I love playing host, and I am very good at it. But when it came to the baby shower invitations, for some reason nothing worked. Every idea for a baby shower invitation seemed more hackneyed and less creative than the last. Soon, my ideas did not even seem worthy of cards anymore. I was stumped and I was running out of time.
Finally, I downloaded some printable baby shower invitations off of the Internet. They were horrible, but they had to do. I actually chose the baby shower invitations at random. I knew that if I took the time to pick them out, I never would find the right ones. I just simply took the first ones that looked even remotely passable and printed them out. I figured that everyone would understand why my baby shower invitations did not live up to my usual standards. Most of them had already had babies, so they knew how much stress it could be.
As it turns out, no one even cared about the invitations baby shower. I knew I was being a little bit neurotic, but it was still hard for me not to worry. I just always feel the need to try to get every little thing right. The important thing was that everyone had a good time. Next time, I won't let myself worry about something so trivial. I will buy baby shower invitations ahead of time and call it a done deal. That way, I can concentrate on the important things like being with my lovely baby girl. She is the most beautiful thing that I have ever seen.
